Dear Folks:
I wanted to share my upcoming adventure with you all. I am very pleased to have been sponsored by Watershed and the Association of Israel Design Artists for an upcoming fully funded two week residency at the Givat Haviva Art Center in Israel. I look forward to sharing this journey with Linda Sormin and Molly Hatch. I depart on Thursday – July 12.
After the two weeks making work alongside Molly and Linda and the group of Israeli artists who I look forward to meeting I will travel throughout the country to visit with scientists at marine labs in Eilat, Haifa and Migdal. This research has been graciously funded by The UF Vice President for Research, David Norton. I will be photographing and interviewing these folks and use the data for my new installation “Mercury”; focused on pollutants that impact the seafood we eat.
